FAQ: Taking Assessments
How are assessment scores calculated?
Assessment scores are calculated using a complex scoring algorithm, which considers both the number of questions answered correctly, and the level of difficulty associated with each correct response.
Can an assessment be paused and restarted?
Yes. To pause an assessment, close the Internet browser. Assessments may also halt without warning due to a connection failure. In either case, return to MyCareer to resume. For each assessment a re-entry code is provided in the Incomplete and/or Pending test area. Select the assessment to resume and then enter the re-entry code. It will resume wherever it stopped. A new re-entry code is generated each time an assessment is stopped. There are a maximum of three re-entries per assessment; a fourth attempt will cause all remaining questions to be marked as incorrect.
